NORTH OF RIVER SANITARY DISTRICT

North of River Sanitary District was formed as an independent Special District of the State of California in 1940 for the purpose of conveying, treating and recycling Wastewater from residential, commercial, and industrial connections in Oildale. The District has since expanded to serve portions of Northwest Bakersfield and the City of Shafter.

The Community’s Wastewater System protects the Public Health and the Environment. The District serves the Public by operating a well-maintained system to collect, treat, and recycle wastewater as prescribed by State and Federal statutes in an efficient and cost-effective manner. The District is committed to serving as a good steward of the Community’s sanitary sewer system assets.
