“NORSD and the City of Bakersfield are set to provide free year-round grease collection for residents. Disposing of used cooking oil and grease down your drain can clog pipes and cause backups, instead, residents can stop by the NORSD office, City of Bakersfield Wastewater Treatment Plant 3, or Kern UCO and dispose of used cooking oil and grease in a safe and environmentally friendly way. Residents are asked to collect their used cooking oil and grease in sealed containers and drop it off at the event. There is no charge to dispose of cooking oil and grease.”

Day and time for grease drop-off: Monday – Friday 8:00 am – 3:00 pm. Starting August 19th.
