North of River Sanitary District is an independent special district providing sewer collection and treatment services to communities in the southern Central Valley, an affordable place to live that is in near proximity to the Mountains and the Coast.

 

NORSD has an excellent benefit package, which include the following:

Employer paid medical, dental, vision and group life insurance for both the employee and dependents.

The District participates in the Kern County Employee Retirement Ascoication (KCERA) retirement plan.

NORSD offers a goverment 457b plan with 6% matching contributions from the District.

The District has 11 paid holidays, 

NORSD provides 12  accrued vacation days and 8.5 accrued sick days for first year employees.

 

North of the River Sanitary District will require a pre-employment drug and alcohol test, and/or update/periodic drug and alcohol testing. This testing is only for the purpose for determining a candidate’s fitness to perform the job, and is not a substitute for regular physical examinations.
